A maximum-security institution inside the Green Bay metro, so this is one of the few high-custody posts in the state with a short urban commute. The custody level means higher acuity and a caseload weighted toward serious mental health need. Green Bay and Appleton are both easy drives.
One of the largest medium-security institutions in the state, with a dual-diagnosis program, a secure residential treatment unit, and long-running treatment programming on site. That mix means more clinical infrastructure and more specialised caseloads than a general-population post. It sits in the Fox Valley, close to Oshkosh, Neenah, and Appleton.
A large medium-security institution in southeastern Wisconsin with cognitive and behavioural programming and a sex-offender treatment program on site. The caseload is broad and the volume is consistent. Sitting between Racine and Milwaukee, it is one of the most commutable posts in the state.

The population is settled and the clinical pace is measured. It is a rural post, drawing clinicians from Prairie du Chien and the surrounding Driftless towns.
